AI Credits: balance, usage, and buying more

This setup-wizard style guide helps you manage credits with confidence. You will check your balance, understand what spends credits, estimate usage, and top up before work is interrupted.

First check: open the Account tab

Open SEO Rank Genius → Account and select the Credits section. Paid users see their plan name, three balance tiles, and buy-more packs. Free users see an upgrade card instead.

Confirm your plan

The header shows AI Credits with your plan name (for example, Pro). Trial accounts are labeled too.

Read Total Available first

That number is Shared Credits plus Domain Credits — the pool you can spend right now on AI features.

Wizard tip Balance updates automatically after each AI action. There is no separate refresh button or usage log on this screen.

Shared Credits work across every site on your license — ideal for agencies. Domain Credits belong to this site only. Total Available is the sum of both pools.

What uses credits

Credits are consumed only when an AI task runs. Browsing settings and reviewing results do not spend credits.

Spend smarter Test prompts on a smaller batch, then scale once the output quality is right for your brand voice.

FAQ and quick fixes

Why did credits drop quickly?Large multi-page AI jobs consume credits faster. Check Total Available before starting wide runs.
Shared or Domain credits?Use Shared for multi-site licenses; use Domain when only this site should hold the balance.
Do reviews consume credits?No. Viewing balances, settings, and results does not spend credits.
Balance looks staleRun any small AI action — the total updates automatically after cloud sync.

  • Keep a small buffer for urgent same-day requests.
  • Run pilot batches before launching full-volume jobs.
