Your main plugin landing screen: health score and grade, orphaned/broken/opportunity KPIs, scan controls, suggestion cards with fix links, link distribution analytics — plus shortcuts into Link Management, Tools & Analytics, Indexing & Sitemaps, and Settings.

Before you start

Open SEO Rank Genius → Dashboard (top-level menu, default when you click the plugin). The URL reads admin.php?page=seo-link-genius.

Requirements You need an administrator-equivalent capability (manage_options). KPIs derive from Rank Genius scans and cached stats — they update after scans complete or when you use Refresh Data.

Complete the Setup Wizard once so defaults and onboarding notices match how you publish.
Run at least one Full Site Scan so Orphans, Broken Links, and Opportunities reflect real crawl output.
Know where deep work happens: Link Management (seo-link-genius_management), Tools & Analytics, Indexing & Sitemaps.

Shortcuts On the live Dashboard press ? (when not typing in a field) to open keyboard shortcuts — Full Site Scan, Refresh Data, and Esc to close modals.

Module toggles vs dashboard

Per-feature on/off switches (automatic linking limits, indexer options, integrations) live under Settings. The Dashboard surfaces outcomes; it does not host every toggle. Wizard-driven choices prime which modules remain active.

Refresh ≠ full crawl Refresh Data recalculates stats from existing scan material. Use Full Site Scan when you need fresh traversal of URLs.

Daily workflow

Glance grade + KPI counts; open any red/orange chip first.
After publishing clusters, tap Refresh Data; schedule Full Site Scan off-hours for big migrations.
Work orphaned URLs from KPI → Link Management → Auto-Link Rules where automation fits.
Confirm Indexing & Sitemaps whenever URLs or canonical rules change materially.

Setup Wizard alignment If notices still advertise the wizard, finish SEO Rank Genius → Setup Wizard; completion stops repeat prompts and ensures scan defaults match site intent.

Troubleshooting

Counters frozen or last scan never updates

Run Full Site Scan, wait for completion, then Refresh Data; verify WP Cron or Action Scheduler isn’t blocked for long-running AJAX batches.

KPI mismatches Tools reports

Compare timestamps: Dashboard aggregates may cache separately from a tab deep-linked minutes later — align by rerunning scans after CDN purges.

Shortcuts or modals inactive

Click outside inputs first; deactivate aggressive admin hotkey plugins briefly to confirm Rank Genius captures key presses.
