Before you start

The Account page lives inside your WordPress admin and replaces the default Freemius screens with a branded SEO Rank Genius experience. You need Administrator access to view plans, enter license keys, and manage AI credits.

Free vs paid The plugin works on the free tier with core SEO features. Paid plans (Personal, Pro, Agency) unlock higher site limits, included AI credits, and priority support. Credits power AI-assisted tasks like meta generation, schema suggestions, and link intelligence.

Keep your purchase confirmation email handy — it contains the license key you'll paste on the License tab after checkout.

Open the Account page

From your WordPress dashboard, go to:

SEO Rank Genius → Account

The page loads inline (not an iframe) and remembers your last sub-tab between visits. You can also jump straight to credits from the admin bar badge labeled Credits.

Plans & licenses

The Plans tab shows Personal, Pro, and Agency pricing cards with feature comparisons. All paid tiers include the full SEO Rank Genius feature set — you choose based on site count, included AI credits, and support level.

  • Personal — ideal for a single site or small blog.
  • Pro — best value for growing sites that use AI features regularly.
  • Agency — multiple client sites and higher credit allowances.

Clicking Get Pro (or Personal / Agency) opens secure Freemius checkout. After payment, your license key arrives by email instantly.

Already on Free? You can upgrade anytime without reinstalling. Activate the new key on the License tab and your plan updates on the next sync.

AI credits explained

Switch to the AI Credits tab to see your balance. Paid users see three numbers:

  • Shared credits — pool tied to your Freemius account (usable across licensed sites).
  • Domain credits — balance specific to this WordPress installation.
  • Total balance — combined available credits for AI actions on this site.

Need more credits mid-month? Purchase shared or domain credit packs from the same tab, then click Sync credits to verify the purchase with Freemius and update your balance.

Activate & deactivate

Open the License tab (or use the reactivation field if you've deactivated locally):

  1. Paste your license key into the Enter license key field.
  2. Click Activate License.
  3. Wait for the green confirmation, then refresh if prompted.

Activate License

Enter the key from your purchase confirmation email

XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX Activate License

License tab — paste your key and click Activate License.

To move a license to another site, click Deactivate License on the current site first. Freemius frees the activation slot so you can activate elsewhere.

Deactivating locally If you deactivated on this site, the plugin shows a reactivation field even when cloud HTML is stale. Enter your key again — no need to contact support.

Troubleshooting

License key rejected

Confirm you copied the full key with no extra spaces. Each key has a limited number of activations — deactivate on old sites first. Check that your subscription is active in your Freemius account email.

Credits didn't appear after purchase

Click Sync credits on the AI Credits tab. Allow pop-ups for checkout if you bought from another browser tab. Wait 30 seconds and sync again — Freemius webhooks can take a moment.

Account page blank or outdated

Hard-refresh the admin page (Ctrl+F5). The plugin fetches account HTML from the cloud — a temporary network block can cause a stale view. Check your server can reach outbound HTTPS.

Still on Free after activating

Switch to the License tab and confirm status shows active. Clear any object cache (LiteSpeed, WP Rocket) and reload Account → Plans to refresh plan name.
