The best internal linking plugin for WordPress: quick picks
Link Whisper is the best known dedicated internal linking tool, with strong reports and AI suggestions. If you already pay for Rank Math Pro, Yoast Premium or AIOSEO Pro, their built in link suggestions may be enough. For bulk linking with a preview and undo inside a full SEO plugin, SEO Rank Genius is the alternative I built.

What makes a good internal linking tool
- Relevant suggestions. Links should match the meaning of the sentence, not just a shared word.
- Inbound suggestions. The valuable job is finding old posts that should link to a new one, not only links out of the post you are writing.
- Control over anchor text. You should be able to choose or vary the anchor, not accept the exact keyword every time.
- A preview and an undo. Bulk changes to hundreds of posts need a safety net.
- Reports. Orphan pages, inbound link counts and broken links show where to work next.
- Structure awareness. Links should support your pillar and cluster pages, not scatter randomly.
Internal linking tools compared
1. Link Whisper
Link Whisper is the category leader. Its reports are the clearest of any linking tool, and paid plans suggest links using AI credits and insert them with a click. The free version still suggests links from matching phrases, but you copy and add them by hand. Plans run from $97 a year for one site to $497 for 50 sites.

2. Internal Link Juicer
Internal Link Juicer links automatically: you give each post keywords, and it turns matching phrases across the site into links. It is fast to set up and the free version is useful. The risk is the same as any auto linker: repeated exact match anchors and links in places a human would not choose, so set limits per post.
3. Rank Math Pro: AI Link Genius

4. Yoast SEO Premium

5. AIOSEO Link Assistant
All in One SEO’s Link Assistant lists link opportunities across the site, including inbound ones, and can add them from its report. It is included from the Pro plan upward, not in the entry plans.
6. SEO Rank Genius
This is my plugin, and internal linking is the reason it exists. In Link Management you scan a post’s focus keyword, see every place on the site that mentions it, and preview each link in its sentence before inserting. You can insert all at once and undo any single link or a whole batch.
