Yoast SEO Premium Review 2026: Price, Features and Whether It Is Worth It
Yoast SEO Premium is the paid upgrade to the most installed SEO plugin for WordPress. Yoast restructured its pricing in July 2025, folding several add ons into Premium. I went through the current version on our test site and the pricing page to see exactly what you get for the money.
The verdict
Premium fills the gaps in the free plugin that matter most day to day: a redirect manager, internal linking suggestions, AI titles and descriptions, IndexNow and up to five keyphrases. Since July 2025 it also includes the Local, News and Video add ons that used to cost extra, which makes it better value than it was. The catch is the price model: $118.80 per site per year adds up quickly.
Worth it for: one business site that needs redirects and local SEO. Skip it if: you manage several sites or want the most features for free.

Yoast Premium pricing changed on 1 July 2025, when Yoast replaced its old line up. Premium used to cost $99, with Local, Video and News SEO sold separately at $79 each, or in bundles. Now the Local, News and Video plugins come with Premium at no extra cost. If you only wanted Premium, the price went up. If you bought add ons, it probably went down.

What it is like to use
The good. Yoast is calm and predictable. Settings are grouped into clear site features you switch on or off, the editor analysis is the easiest to understand of any SEO plugin, and the defaults are safe. Recent versions added an llms.txt generator and a schema aggregation endpoint for conversational search tools, both available in the free plugin.
The redirect manager is the feature most people buy Premium for. When you change a slug or delete a post, it offers to create a redirect, which prevents broken links and lost rankings.
The internal linking suggestions show related posts in a sidebar while you write. They are helpful for finding a link to add to the post you are editing, but they do not find places in older posts that should link to the new one, and there is no bulk insert.
The weaker parts. Upgrade prompts appear throughout the free plugin. Premium is licensed per site, so staging and several live sites need planning. And there is no built in rank tracking; Search Console data comes through an optional integration with Google’s Site Kit plugin.
