Click any anchor text or URL cell to edit inline
Each row shows the source post, anchor text, target URL, link type (internal/external), and health status (green = OK, red = broken).
Inline Editing
Click directly on any anchor text or target URL cell to edit it in place — just like a spreadsheet. Changes are saved via AJAX instantly.
What You Can Edit
- Anchor text — Change the clickable text of any link
- Target URL — Redirect a link to a different destination
- Remove link — Delete a link entirely from the source post
Database changes: Edits in the Link Editor modify your post content directly. Changes are permanent. Use with care and consider creating a backup first.
Filters & Search
Use the toolbar above the table to narrow results:
- Type filter — Show All, Internal only, or External only
- Source post — Filter by a specific post/page
- Search — Search across anchor text, URLs, and post titles
The table paginates at 50 links per page with standard WordPress pagination controls.
Troubleshooting
Links Not Showing
- Run a full site scan from the Dashboard to populate the link database.
- Only links in published posts are tracked. Draft content is excluded.
Edits Not Saving
- Ensure your browser allows AJAX requests (check for ad blockers or firewalls).
- Verify you have the
manage_optionscapability (Administrator role).
