Account, License & AI Credits

Manage your subscription plan, activate or deactivate your license key, purchase AI credits, and configure AI provider settings — all from one page.

Where to Find This Page

In your WordPress admin sidebar, go to SEO Rank Genius → Account. The page has three cloud-synced tabs — Plans, License, and Credits — plus a separate AI Settings sub-page.

Plans & Pricing License Credits

Content loads from cloud.seorankgenius.com — your plan, license status, and credit balance are always in sync.

Plans & Pricing Tab

This tab shows available subscription tiers fetched from the cloud server. Plans are managed through Freemius — a secure, WordPress-native payment platform.

Free vs. Pro: The free tier gives you full access to core SEO features (meta tags, schema, sitemaps, link management). Pro unlocks AI-powered suggestions, advanced analytics, WooCommerce SEO, and priority support.

How Purchases Work

  1. Click Upgrade on your chosen plan.
  2. A Freemius checkout modal opens — enter your payment details.
  3. After payment, the plugin automatically syncs your license.
  4. Pro features activate immediately — no manual key entry needed for new purchases.

License Activation

The License tab lets you activate, view, or deactivate your license key on this WordPress site. A single license key can be active on one site at a time (unless you have a multi-site plan).

Activating a License Key

If you purchased a license on another site or received a key via email:

  1. Go to Account → License tab.
  2. Enter your license key in the input field.
  3. Click Activate License.
  4. The page reloads and shows your active plan details.

Deactivating a License

Need to move your license to a different site? Click Deactivate License on This Site. This frees the key for reuse elsewhere. The plugin reverts to the free tier on this site until you reactivate.

Note: If your license shows as “revoked” unexpectedly, click Try Again or re-enter your key. Network issues or expired sessions can cause temporary sync failures.

AI Credits

AI credits power the plugin’s intelligent features — SEO Advisor analysis, AI-generated meta descriptions, schema suggestions, and content recommendations. Credits are consumed per API call.

Purchasing & Syncing Credits

  1. Go to Account → Credits tab.
  2. Choose a credit pack and complete the Freemius checkout.
  3. Click Sync Credits — the plugin verifies the purchase with Freemius and credits your account.
  4. Your updated balance appears immediately.

Tip: Credits sync automatically after checkout. Use the manual Sync Credits button only if your balance doesn’t update within a few seconds.

AI Integration Settings

For users who prefer their own AI provider (instead of consuming plugin credits), the AI Settings page lets you connect any OpenAI-compatible API directly.

Navigate to SEO Rank Genius → AI Settings in your sidebar.

Advanced AI Settings

Fine-tune how the AI behaves when generating suggestions.

Recommendation: For SEO tasks, keep temperature between 0.3–0.7 for consistent, reliable results. Higher values may produce creative but less accurate suggestions.

Troubleshooting

“Unable to Load Account Page”

The account page fetches content from cloud.seorankgenius.com. If it fails:

  • Check your server’s outbound HTTP connections (some hosts block external requests).
  • Verify SSL is working — the request requires HTTPS.
  • Click Try Again — transient network issues resolve on retry.
  • If you see “Authentication failed,” the signing salt may be out of sync. Contact support.

“AI Connection Test Failed”

  • Double-check your API key — it’s encrypted before storage, so re-enter it fresh.
  • Ensure your API account has available credits/balance with your provider.
  • For custom endpoints, verify the URL follows the OpenAI-compatible format.

Credits Not Updating

  • Click Sync Credits on the Credits tab.
  • Wait 10 seconds and refresh the page.
  • If still stuck, add ?force_refresh=1 to the URL to bypass the cache.
